Macchi M.5 "Flying Dragon" 1918
Hello PM's,
I'd like to show my latest model. It's a Italian single-seat fighter flying boat Macchi M.5 "Flying Dragon" from the period of WW I. Macchi M.5 was operated by five Italian maritime patrol squadrons as a fighters and convoy escort. By the end of WW I these plains were flown by USNavy and USMarine Corps. "Flying Dragon" was flown by the leader of 261.Esc. (Sqd.) of the Regia Marina - Sottotenente di Vacello (Sub-Lt.) Domenico "Pepuzzo" Arcidiacono. The last photos show opponents over Adriatic - "Flying Dragon" and the Austro-Hungarian reconnaissance-bomber flying boat Lohner T1 "L127". SWcratch model in 1 : 33 scale. Project based on Answer kit, Windsock Datafile 86, archival photos etc. Material: carboard, paper, bamboo sticks, natural silk and painted by acrylic paints. Regards, Dick |

Hi Dick.
Excellent work! On both planes! It is sad, that there is no kit in 1:33 scale to buy from the Lohner plane. I am hoping since years for. Greetings from Austria, Wiwo |
