Tintin's Moonship
Was clearing out a cupboard the other day and I came across this venerable specimen. Brought back some fond memories, I can tell you.
The "kit" was issued to retail outlets by the French publishers Casterman and was intended as a point of sale gimmick to promote sales of the Tintin comic books. It was given to me as a young man (those were the days) by the lovely lady who then ran the French Bookshop in South Kensington, London. It's by far and away the easiest model I've ever built. It consists of three slot-together pieces on very thick die-cut card; the card having a coloured laminate on each side. It's just short of 22cm from tip of nose to tips of fins.

Ah, the famous moon rocket! Always nice to see a model of it, and yes, it certainly brings back fond memories. I still read my Tintin albums so every now and then. In Dutch he's called "Kuifje" (literally Little Cowlick, according to Google Translate
