Hall Of Supreme Harmony

I'd been admiring soin's beautiful models of ancient Chinese architecture and wanted to try my hand at something similar (and less complicated). Not for the first time, Canon Creative Park turned out to be my friend. Here is the Hall of Supreme Harmony which stands at the centre of the Forbidden City (now the Palace Museum) 720 square metre complex.

A fairly straightforward build which turned out a little bit wonky, although the pictures I've chosen tend to diguise that (hee-hee!).

You are really good at building models that I have meant to build for a long time.

Excellent job of hiding the wonkiness, sir. Looks good

Thumbs up

Excellent looking model even with the disguised wonkiness.

Nice work, Philip!

I visited this beautiful building during a tour of the Palace Museum 30 years ago.

Hello folks. You're too generous.

V_K: It's because, despite the vast distance between us, I can read your mind. Funny thing is, Tom Davies Clay does exactly the same to me.

Excellent construction Philip! Cannon never disappoints, he always leaves you satisfied. One of the things I learned best since I have been on the forum is to hide the mistakes I always make in the photos😆, and it seems that I am not the only one😊
