Japanese Elephants
I know of African elephants and Indian elephants, but surely there are no such beasts as Japanese elephants? If there were though, they would look like this. They're based on paintings by the Japanese artist Ito Jakuchu.

Those are nice looking elephants.
I have not built them, but I did build the tiger and the deer.

Hello Doug. Yes, I saw your pictures of those two - the deer is especially graceful - and that's what inspired me to have a go at these.

My deer was one I gave up on, so I decided not to try these. Nicely done

Thanks for the link - I'd never thought of looking under "Art". But now I have a few more animals to make! I also found the 3D mosaics - they look easy but would be a lot of work. I'm thinking of putting the parts on thick card rather than make all the pieces. Cheers Mike |
