Sea Otter

As you can surmise from looking at our chubby friend here, sea otters can eat an awful lot of bivalves. They break the shells by bashing them against a stone. I'm told that each otter has a favourite stone for this purpose and that they carry it around in a pouch they have on the left hand side. Could be an urban myth, though.

Nice model Philip. I've been thinking about making that one.

I do have a fresh water version - it's almost a pet and I call it "kettle"

Cheers
Mike

Nice. Those critters are fun to watch.

Seems like they do carry around a rock.

Thank you for your comments, gentlemen. The sea otter was a birthday gift (well, sort of) for my other half. It's now resting on a not-much-used part of kitchen top, along with another project. If things carry on like this the future of domestic bliss is going to be challenged, for sure. What to do?

Lovely building!
Sometimes I suspect that we have to choose between paper and everything else... we need to find a solution...
