Smile Spitfire Mk. Va (Inwald Card Models) - My first complete model :-P

After lots of trial/incomplete test builds on various subjects, here is my first complete aircraft model... good enough for displaying here :p

This is Andrew Inwald's free, 1:33 scale, Spitfire Mk. Va (available in the Downloads section) , with some minor extra details I added.

There is a new small mirror over the cockpit...

...and thin metal wires intended to reproduce the antennas.

Now I feel confident enough to try some really difficult models :D.

Congratulations on a beautifully built 1st aircraft! Judging by this one, you should have no problems building any model at all

Best regards
Ron

Great build, the skin joints look impeccable. A very impressive first model.

If you want a challenge, do the Maly F-4. It is big, beautiful, full of details and if not done right, it will curve like a banana.

No paper junkyard around... yet. Just a paper bin and a few incomplete, but not trashed models stored in small boxes :D. For example, Silveroxide's Gatling gun :(... I have yet to return to that project and finish it.

@Silveroxide: thanks for the F-4 tip, but I will probably stick with printable models for now, as for these the backups are never a problem. Some parts of that Spitfire had a try/fit ratio of 3:1 as I perfected my skill...

For a future build I'm considering Rafal Ciesielski's Bf-109T from Gremir, or maybe GPM's F4U-1A Corsair by the same author, albeit this last one is not a digital/printable model...

Regards

Joćo

nicely built and a first finish well done. so what is next in the practice mould i figure that is the way to approach model making make different types and learn some methods. I have tried free motorbikes from yamaha's site even a few things from the canon site all building up the learning curve and it is by building that helps you think how to design models for yourself.

Ohhhh I like it! I would say getting this one done prepares you very well for most any plane build - from here is just pushing your skills a little with every build

Very nice Spitfire, HamsterX! I don“t think you“ll have any troubles with the next model of your choice.

Keep it up!
