agreed - just 2d for now - possibly a 3 d expansion if the game proves popular and there is demand for 3d warfare.

the 30cm was referring to max model length, I would imagine heights at 5,1,15 cm if we ever build that in later.

Quickly prototyped system for 3d ship manipulation:

2 circles cut out from 0,5mm card, a ribbon cut from roll of paper for shop checking machine glued around them (on the outside of the outside circle and on the inside of the inside circle) - thus creating circled T-shaped bars. The insides filled with binding glue for strength. The outside circle cut into two halves:

The ship opened to put wire inside. Tube rolled on a wire, cut to pieces using a blade from disposable shaving razor with multiple blades. The pieces glued on the ends of one of the circle halves (the other half is not needed - can be used in the next stand), and in the middle of the inside circle. A stick glued to the outside halfcircle and to the base. The ship inserted into holes made with a sewing needle in the inside circle, wire secured with glue.

The stand assembled with ship in normal position

Ship diving and tilted to a side.

Beautiful!! Why don't you live in my neighborhood, lehcyfer?! The games we would have played!!

I bow before your skills! But...

(there is always a stupid but everywhere...)

We are doing this for people to play a simple game to start with... This seems to me three or four degrees in complexity But I will do an expansion with 3D rules just be able to be in the same level you are.

Aaahhh! One more thing, my friend...

Why are playing with card circles and not test playing the rules?

I have testplayed a lot of times against myself. What I do is first: Choose a side to be partial to, second, give a lot more points to the other side. It's funny and it works to see flaws in the system.

And you always win against yourself, right? And never get mad and have a bad looser fit...
