That's an evocative image! I can hear the sound of the Double Mambas.

I'm very glad that you have been developing aircraft of the Extra Dark Sea Grey and Sky era.

Ah, yes, the Gannet!
Quite an interesting ASW-Aircraft (- and an ugly duckling too...)

I remember building a Wilhelmshaven model of it in the late 50s - quite tricky. It was the Version A.S. Mk 4 and came in the Bundesmarine (Federal German Navy) livery. Scale was 1/50 as was usual for the Wilhelmshaven aircraft models.
It is still listed as available in their catalogue (# 1612).

Kind regards
Papercaptain

Gary's ambitions mover forward here for sure. Every design has been good, but this one is particularly ambitious ! She's got many angles and a shape hard to bring to life in paper - Gary steps up to the mark with everything

A couple of videos I found on Youtube first is carrier action with Sea Vixens,Scimitars and the Gannet at the end

Then we have a little piece on the Gannet herself including a snippet of the incredible noise she could make,I remember it well, not sure if any are still flying now.

I think that is a very interesting option.
With a piece of fliying deck, perhaps?

Brilliant idea Gary,I was thinking of trying to do that as it's such an unusual way they fold, she really will be a stunner when finished.
