I have to admit, in some scenes the plane looks longer and slimmer
...and in other versions its shorter and fatter.
I think I also notice some scale changes.

I would think there were different size models for different shots?

Any info on whether there were larger and smaller versions of the models?
And could this lead to differences in sculptures and copies?

The model in your scale comparison doesn't look as long and slender as in the production still posted (in post #5)...just my eye?

The real thing!!

Japanese Plastic

Gary, I think your design looks pretty darn close...
but the wings look further back on the real thing.
(which makes the fuselage look a little longer)

There a thread here http://www.eagletransporter.com/foru...ead.php?t=5762 that has some very nice reference photos that might help.

Great shots in that site...bookmarked for sure!!

If Fireflash and TB2 are the same distance from the camera in this shot, and from memory of this episode, they are, then Fireflash is enormous...I have a 1/72 TB2 and that is the better part of 3' long so Fireflash could be some 100s for feet long...move over, A380, you wannabe!!

I have to make one small apology (mainly to Gary)...
all my posts in this thread were made under false pretense.

Because of my current "Thunderbirds are go" thread,
I actually got a little confused and only just figured it out (this morning).
All this Fireflash discussion, I thought, was in my thread!
I never paid attention to the fact that I had jumped over to Gary's design thread!

I kept rambling on and posting images (and complaining about other people's posts)
all the time thinking I am still in my own thread...
when in fact I am almost hijacking this one!

So...I apologize for the "semi-hijacking".

Now, back to the "Peter Taft Aphrodisiac"...!
