Hi Gary,
I've used the same L3 Rapiers in a couple of designs. Ever use them before? My biggest issue was trying to install them into the rear of the fuselage (like an estes rocket engine). To much counterweight was needed, model became to heavy to fly with the rapier. Figured an answer would be to create a cardstock tube and mount the rapier at the CG with the tube guiding the exhaust flow out the rear. Rigby models discuss the CG issue when using Jet-x engines to power cardstock built airplanes. Can't find the link... Very nice choice for a design/build! Finally, I used to get my Rapier from SAMs (UK). Is that where you got yours? Are they available again? Mike |

I guess rapiers are out as of 2010 they were classed as fireworks and became to difficult to export
