The Javelin is very cool looking. Haven't seen too many models of her either. Can't wait to see this one.

Great choice Gary, already have a diecast one, hope to get the Airfix one so a nice paper kit will finish the set. I used to visit Manston regularly as a kid where there was a Javelin, Canberra and a Spitfire on display great aircraft the Javelin looking very much the brute next to the graceful lines of the Spit and the slender Canberra. I of course fell immediately in love with the mean looking bugger. I was heart broken to find that only the Spitfire survived.

Talk of the Devil. No Canberra in this one. The Spitfire became a sort of social comment on the UK as originally the cockpit was opened then it was closed but the steps left then the steps were taken away then the Spit was roped off and finally removed and put in a museum

One of my favorites! I remember building Hawk's version of this one back in the 60's
Really looking forward to this one.

Bob

You must mean: overweight, underpowered and a bad safety record
