And, if you are looking for a pretty colour scheme for the Tri-pacer, how about this? Keep up the great work.

Regards,
John

I agree with you 100% We are tired of seen Mustangs, Spitfires, Me.109s, F-14s and several other models that are extremely well represented in paper repeated over and over again. Not that Gary is designing these models, but several designers are and I think it is foolish to spend so much effort designing models that are plenty. Civil models have always been neglected for reasons that I ignore. In plastics, only two models stand out as really beautiful: Monogram's Piper Tri-Pacer and Cessna 180 which although old, they are well up to the standards of modern plastic kits. Minicraft is also selling some private models but not too many. In card, we see Schreiber's Cessna 150 and Piper Super Cub and now Gary's beautiful Skymaster. We need the Tri-Pacer, Piper Comanche, Piper Apache, Beechcraft Bonanza, Erco Ercoupe etc. etc. There are so many!!!! Thanks Gary in the name of card modelling fraternity for remembering civil private aviation.

Hi John, Nice livery but not official from Piper Aircraft. They used to have a different paint scheme for each year of production. My father's Tri-Pacer was a 1951 model. The last one came out in 1960. And the Colt two seat version was made until 1964. Of the 9000 Tri-Pacers, Pacers and Colts made, over 5400 are still registered in the US alone!! Check the three photos. My mother soloed in this airplane.

Let me jump on the bandwagon by saying thanks Gary. You are doing what no others are, and for this I thank you. The fact you do beautiful work is also a big plus.

I look forward to the C102. Excellent choice. Since Sir Gary is doing single engine aircraft, I would also suggest the Scottish Aviation Bulldog for a future project. It's (originally) iconic British.
