Gary,
Would you consider the Fairey Gyrodyne? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fairey_FB-1_Gyrodyne https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fairey_Jet_Gyrodyne You would be spoilt for choice, pusher props and 2 bladed main props and 2 bladed main props and 3 bladed main jets and 3 bladed main something to consider i hope Rick

Is that a TriPacer with the wing moved down and an extra engine added ?
Yes, an Apache would be very neat. Maybe the twin-tail proto and a classic red and white one on floats for encore . Wonderful work. Regards, John |

Thanks Gary for honoring classic private airplanes. GOOD LUCK and greetings from worldwide paper modelers fraternity. The photos, very old and not very good quality shows me and my dad in Cartagena and the Apache parked outside our home near Bogotá in our local airclub airport now called Guaymaral. Those were the days!!!!!!! |

The Apache lends itself to be made in many versions but, in my opinion, the original one is the nicest. With floats? Excellent variation. The Apache was extremely popular due to low price and good performance. It was also easy to fly. I remember when my father allowed me to control his Apache when we were flying. And I was 11!! Perhaps I'm biased but I'm sure you understand. Thanks again

Coming along nicely
Stripes pinched from the tripacer and needs to be corrected and seats etc to be added to the cockpit next

How nice Gary, thanks again. Please check the photo of my dad's Apache. (Not a very good photo) Perhaps this can show you more detail on the shape of the white lines.
And just in case you want to make it Colombian, it has the registration HK-912-P. At that time, registration was on the upper right wing and lower left wing. Also small on each side of the rudder. THANKS AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
