My Brother J4610DW and CISS (The Beast)
I've had this since July but I though it would be nice to show you guys and gals new printer (kind of new). She was about $200 and about $45 for the CISS. I've had a few issuews but like I just said in my "Missing models" thread it is a beast. I even renamed my printer name to "The Beast."
Best purchase (and most expensive) I've done towards paper modeling. I originally did want the J4510DW which is the same in terms of hardware but it has one paper tray and a bigger touch display. I decided to ghe J4610DW which has two trays but a smaller display (which I don't use that often.) -RunwayOneSixRight (Matthew) |

Looks good. I take it that you like the CISS? I just bought an Epson and plan on adding a CISS to it.

I love it, though I did have to cut a little notch in the printer door with my Xacto knife so the CISS cables could fit. -RunwayOneSixRight (Matthew) |

I print a lot and in maxed out quality, took me around 15 months to start replacing ink.

I use it's A3 big brother ... MFC-J65100W with a CISS.
Small hint ... See if you can locate the ink drain tube going down to the soak up pad and divert it into a lidded catcher tub. It needs to be lidded or it will dry up. These ink catchers are available commercially, but they are not hard to make. A lot of ink is wasted during head cleaning operations, which Brother printers seem to do often of their own accord if left switched on, but if you can catch it, it can be re-fed to the black ink tank. I mix the waste ink 50/50 with new black ink and it works well for me. Keep on snippin' ... Johnny. |

PS what is the advantages of using CISS despite larger ink capacity?
