Cutting repetitive elements (serial) is a real passion and a challenge, we know all this pain.

Question: What models do you prefer? mechanical or the real 100% working hands.

Sorry, I'm tough and relentless, I appreciate the 100% manual work modeller.

About the only use I could see for it is when you get to the page of track links for the tank you're working on, or the landing gear for that Antonov Tu-225 or C-5 Galaxy...30 odd wheels staring at you, daring you to slip up as you're cutting them out...

Well the reasons I bought the scanncut was mostly 2 fold.. failing eyesight and nerve damage in the hands which keep me from cutting properly without twitching at the most inopportune times..

Some folks use hand saws and others use electric saws. Drills? Screw drivers? Camera or oil paints? Tools are the choice of the user. The fun you have doing the job is what matters and what someone else uses should be of no worry.
Enjoy the hobby the way YOU wish to.

@jadriancz: no need to justify your choice. your machine is a tool that helps you make the models with the quality you want.
@tatasam/henryk: i am glad you are tough and relentless with your opinion but they are just that, your opinion. good for you that you prefer and are good at the 'old' way of making models. i on the other hand like to use every 'modern' tool i can afford and have an inclination for, anything that helps me make models i enjoy looking at. that's my goal and pleasure. recently i purchased a laser cutter and hardly touch my knives anymore. for me cutting repetitive parts with a knife just sucks the joy out of 'building it myself', but that just me.

Hi
a380, You're right , this is my humble opinion.
I'll just add that my modeling can be grown in any part of the world , I need only sunlight and a few simple tools.
Of such a modeling teach young modelers, amen.

yes tatasam you are to be commended for 'growing' and 'teaching' your method at all corners of the world. i take issue with your machine vs. human, old vs. modern statements. this is a hobby. we pursue it for pleasure. let's leave dogma out of it.

Modernity creeps into into every piece of our life, that no one can change, heading in the direction of "laziness and convenience."
How much is worth the convenience when I will take the power socket? nothing.

Ok, do not I develop further thoughts, each goes his own way with their own banner

Good luck on the road to modernity.
