HP Photosmart 8250 replacement

Well, after many, many years, and thousands of pages, my HP 8250
has jumped the shark.

So my request, if you will indulge me, is for printer recommendations. I would like a photo quality printer, six colors, with a resolution of 4800x1200.

Thanks y'all!

I have an Epson ET-2550 which, I believe, will fit your requirements, and has performed well for the last year and a half. Ink is a bargain! From Staples for $255, and I believe there is a newer model with more integrated tank. Maybe right for you, maybe not. Jim

Just to make things clear you want a photo quality printer 4800 x 1200 resolution with 6 different color cartridges: black, yellow, magenta, cyan, light magenta and light cyan.

I agree with Rick about the WF-7610 but it has only 4 colors. I bought mine from Office Depot a while back on special for $100. Two paper paths, one from the cassette which means the paper takes a 180 through the machine, the other a single page rear feeder where the paper makes a 90 degree turn which is more straight and works good with thicker cardstock. Good large scanner bed, too, with a document feeder for scanning multiple pages. Takes up a bit of space.

Exactly right Doug. That is what my hp runs, and I am very happy with it.
I already have a scanner, so a printer only would be preferable.

I have no experience with 6 ink photo printers. There is an Epson Artisan 1430 wide format printer with those six inks available from Amazon for $299.99.

Here is the Epson page:
https://epson.com/For-Home/Printers/...r/p/C11CB53201

Epson has a 6 ink printer with integrated ink tanks called the L800 but I can only find not available pages or pages from India or South Africa that mention it. The only price I could find was a conversion from 40,000 Indian Rupees to USD at around $619.11.
Here is the Epson.eu page:
https://www.epson.eu/products/printe...mer/epson-l800

A wide format 6 ink integrated tank printer or an all-in-one with automatic two sided printing would be nice.
I do sometimes print booklets so the automatic two sided printing is a looked for feature. You can print that manually but you have to keep the page orientation correct when switching sides or you have to read half of the booklet upside down.

Thanks Doug!

I know what you mean about manual duplex printing. Failed at it many times!
