Epson printers
In another thread, I asked about printer recommendations.
There were a couple of recommendations for Epson, and SCEtoAUX found an Epson Artisan 1430 that met my requirements. Has anyone had any experience with this printer? Longevity, ink usage, print problems? How does it perform for our hobby? At $300, I would like to know what you think of yours, if you have one. If you have tried the CISink system, how does that ink perform? At $23 per cartridge, I would consider a CIS system for it. Thanks!

I bought an Epson Workforce WF-7610 about a year ago. It can handle up to A3 size paper and card stock. I use 120 lb card stock all the time with no problems. It was $149.99 at the Epson online store, with free shipping (free shipping on items over $125).
You can get an aftermarket CISS for it, But I get ink refills on Amazon.com for around $10 per set (2 Double capacity Black, 1 Yellow, 1 Magenta, and 1 Cyan) Fuzoo brand. As far as print quality, its very good. I bought the GPM HH53 C Stallion and reduced it (limted room for models). Ennder |

I have had several Epson printers over the years, and have been satisfied with all of them. The latest I have is the one with the integral CIS, and it is absolutely great...if only it would handle the wide format stuff. The Epson Workforce all in one wide format printer is also working just fine, but it chokes when I try putting a non-OEM cartridge in it. The ink cartridge cost convinced me to buy the smaller printer with the CIS for printing letter and A4 stuff, and just using the wide format printer for A3.
