Competing Tank Printers
The major Japanese ink jet printer manufacturers now have competing tank systems:
From Canon https://shop.usa.canon.com/shop/en/c...nkjet-printers From Epson https://epson.com/ecotank-super-tank-printers Brother does not have a tank system but is marketing a line of "INKvestment" printers that use high capacity cartridges. INKvestment All-in-One printers from Brother are super high-yield ink cartridge systems. View the Work Smart MFC-J985DW. Spend less for more pages. Shop now! HP seems to have tank fed ink jet printer, HP DeskJet GT Ink Tank System | HP® Philippines HP DeskJet GT 5820 All-in-One Printer(M2Q28A)| HP® India but it available only through HP's Philippine and India web sites and it is not marketed or supported in North America. And an alternative printing technology for those with a somewhat larger budget http://www.office.xerox.com/printers...8580/enus.html Prints made with solid inks are eye popping, but I wonder how well they tolerate bending and folding. And here is a printer for those otherwise impossible really big jobs http://dreamjetkc.manufacturer.globa...ed-printer.htm I am thinking this could be used to print models on sheet metal. |

RE Dream printer. I spent way too many hours a few years ago looking for an inkjet printer that would print on small pieces of 3/4" wood. It seemed that those T-shirt printers could be adapted, but no one wanted to commit that they would. I finally gave up. Paper is much easier!

The only thing I do not like about the Epson line is that the wide format printer is so expensive. I have one of the 2550 line of printers and am satisfied with it.
