POTW sticky?
I've been a member of the forum for some time, but I have to admit, I really don't know how the Picture Of The Week works, except for the annual vote. I know Billy was in charge for the longest time but did he simply pick one? Are there any protocols or rules?
If there are rules or protocol, it would be nice to see a sticky for it. If there aren't, maybe now would be a good time to make some? What do ya'll think?

As far as I know, the person in charge of the POTW just choses the model to feature from among the recent builds according to his own judgment.
They usually try to keep a balance between subjects (planes, architecture, ships, sci-fi, etc) so that there is variety, and the model on the front page really highlights what can be found in the forum. But there are no set rules for builders to opt for potw. Is all up to the editor. If there are other internal policies, I don't know. In most forums, some policies and protocols are known only to moderators.

well, Ruben pretty much described our policy on choosing the POTW
If there is a particular build you like, let the admin or moderators know, we will see which picture works, or if we need to change it up, like I really enjoyed Seascape's Doll House, if there are more comments that come in on that subject, then it might show up as a POTW Rick

Umm, for those of us US speakers, what's a "sticky"?

a sticky is a forum term for pinning a thread to the top of each sub forum, usually you will see a push pin icon next to the thread title, meaning that thread has been pinned or stickied
if you go to the top of the forum here http://www.papermodelers.com/forum/howto-use-forums/ you will see about 7 threads that have the word Sticky next to the thread title, and a push pin at the right side of the thread title
