HOWTO: would you want more functional help topics?

Hi all,

I was wondering if it would be helpful if we were to write more tutorials on how to use the forum, and how best to make the forum work for you?

We currently have a thread on posting pictures(which I know I need to finish), and we have one on increasing the number of posts in a thread, from 10 to 40.

I have been toying with the idea of how to quote, and use multiple quotes in a message.

Let me know if you like this or have suggestions for other topics

Rick

I've been here for 3 years and have yet to figure out how to use much of this forum. Why?

Because I can't find many tutorials on how to do things. So, yes, I think it would be very useful.

Or if they already exist, please point to their location(s).

my 2 cents,
SFX

This is a good idea Rick.

I don't know if it's out there already or not, but I would like to know how to post individual pictures throughout a thread rather than have them all attached at the bottom of the thread.

Jim,

Check out this thread How To: post pictures to a thread
there should be some hints to do what you are asking, if it is not clear, I will try to rewrite it

Rick

Hi Rick,

I've set it up to view 40 posts already and like it much. The picture thing was answered in a thread for me a few years ago.

However; haven't figured out how to do the multiple quotes yet, so usually just quote each one in a different post.

All in all there are plenty who help, but someone new might not know who to ask.

Glad you asked!

Mike

I've managed to work my around to do the simplest of things but tutorials of more advanced stuff would be helpful.

Howdy Rick!
Thanks for bringing up this suggestion; it made me look at the "How To" section for the first time since I've been on here ... I reckon if I can't find something there, or I don't understand it, I can still ask. :-)
- Tex
