Problem uploading attachments

I suspect I have reached my quota for attachments - ~18 MB? as I am unable to upload additional attachments. There have been many attachments that I've "unattached" from the post they were intended for, and I'd love to delete those, but I don't see any way to do so.

The specific message I'm getting is:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 25839729 bytes) in /home/papermod/public_html/forum/includes/class_image.php on line 2390

That's 128 MB, though, so surely my 18 MB isn't exceeding that limit... what else could be wrong? The problem exists when attempting to upload from multiple computers on multiple networks.

I had that problem once, and it disappeared the next day. Don't know why

you might need to re-size them as a jpeg file in paint and save a smaller copy, just downsize the image by increments until it accepts it.

I was hoping that would be the case, but it had been 3 days when I posted about the issue, and it's still happening.

I would think that could be the solution, but I tried re-uploading an attachment that was previously uploaded successfully. If the problem had to do with the size of the file, I would have thought it would have failed the first time. Still, I guess it doesn't hurt to try...

Edit: well, a recent upload of an unscaled pic succeeded, so maybe things have fixed themselves.
