Wouldn't no answer imply 'yes'? Sure seems so.

Ruben, please don't take this the wrong way.
I am on your side! Since you downloaded a model that you already knew was pirated, you already committed the crime (so to speak). Building the model really doesn't make it any worse (in my opinion)! And sharing the build doesn't make it any worse either. This forum has no control over what you download or build or display. They are not complicent in any way with your "pirate" activities. Until... you admitted publicly that you knew it was a copied model! LOL What did you do that for?! LOL Now the forum is aiding and abetting since they too have the same knowledge (before the build is posted). This is all too funny. I'm on your side...old, out of (digital) print model, you can't get your hands on it any more. And you found a copy online. You have no real knowledge of whether its legal or not. But I would have done the same thing...grabbed it !! ...and kept my mouth shut! (oh wait, you missed that part) Just build the darn thing and show us what it looks like. LOL ... oh...just noticed you built it and uploaded some photos. Nice work. Nice build. I love these Japanese cartoon girls...just can't get past the eyes.

Hmm.. not really sure. I wouldn't try that with a woman. May lead to awkward situations.

All the figures I have seen seem to indicate children, sometimes very small children made to look older and more like the ages popular with blokes in rubber mac's. There are some who like them for their more innocent side but I cannot get past the feeling that they are just plain wrong in their appearance.

These are Sailor Moon figures.
They suffer from one japanese animation oddity...oversize, sort-of-caucasian, eyes. And while some Japanese animation art often depicts females in a weird age confused style (eg mature bodies with childlike faces), Sailor Moon characters are not presented as strongly in that style. To me they look like teenage superheroes. Sailor Moon was a hugely successful animated children's series around the world. As big as Pokemon. My Daughter used to watch it. These girls represented very empowered and liberated women. Yes, there has always been a "sexiness" to Japanese Anime (Animation Art). Its part of the style and culture. It reflects the high sexual content of much of Japan's art. But its not all intended as risque or perverse. The figures that John posted are just "cartooned" versions of cartoon figures. Their bodies have been shrunk, more like bobble-head toys. Maybe this is why you are relating them to a childlike appearance. The actual Sailor Moon characters look a lot more "grown up". A bit too much leg maybe...more of an unrealistic Barbie look?
