It's funny how we can make jokes with pirated models. I hope they are all removed one day.... There are too many....

Piracy will never die. There are always those lazy guys who try to make easy money off other people's hard work. And there are always those other guys who simply upload the bought file for everyone to have. I can see firsthand what enormous effort it takes to design a good paper model and the minuscule profit it actually brings. And I'm not even taking into account the efforts and time I myself put in developing my store and advertising it.
*force chokes every pirate out there through the monitor*
To end this on a high note, I'm thankful to those of you who support us and the hobby. It is heart-warming to see an e-mail from someone who we've made happy with the models and service we provide. That always reminds me why I do this and takes my mind off the stress and problems.

They don't only steal, they also trick. I got tricked once, and I was very angry after they did. I felt like reporting every single website that had pirate models, but even if I did, they would "rise from the dead".....

Yeah, I thought I was doing the right thing by reporting it here, didn't know I'd be laughed at for being honest.

Their not laughing at you. There are upset because it is almost impossible to get the site removed. Murphy is probably glad you pointed it out to others. Thank you

Sorry, got a little sensitive there. It's mind boggling that the one model I would love to build is a pirate on a site that I thought was legit. Just a pant load for the guys that design these models and expect to be paid for their work.

One thing you've gotta learn about me is that I never take anything seriously. If I can squeeze a one-liner into a situation, I will. If a one liner won't fit, I'll go with a half liner, or an ocean liner.

I can very often be the same way, just got a little too angry about the whole pirate thing. There were too many on that site.

This really bites. I know we have another thread on chan the thief about his hijinks. I followed an ebay thread about an out of print model and caught his act. I wonder if anyone attacked his false claims that he designed the kits he sells as pdf files. sometimes its not the act of piracy but coming at them from a different angle, ie not that he stole these designs but he misrepresents himself as the designer and has copyrights to these designs, clearly a disclaim/lie, therefore untrustworthy as a dealer in anything. But as murphaa says sometimes you gotta just go at it with one liners, I don't have any but, to the pirates, enjoy your riches, get big and fat on them, have clogged arteries and enjoy your future strokes and heart disease, bon appetite!
