PVA glue

I haven't seen mention of Gorilla pva glue. I tried it, I like it, I'm sticking with it. Pun intended. John

Just to weigh in here...

I, too, have found Aleenes Tacky Glue satisfies most of my gluing needs. In fact, I've not experimented with much else. Though I do like using 'Necroscopic Adhesion' for laminating large areas (i.e., using an iron at high setting to melt a sandwich bag between layers of card).

I use a spare ceramic tile as a glue palette. Squirt a little Aleenes on the tile and use a dental tool to pick up a small glob to spread on the gluing surfaces. You can use the tool to scrape off any excess glue. The great thing about using the tile is that it is heavy enough to remain in place and doesn't stick to your applicator like a scrap piece of card does. Easy to clean, too.

For most applications I use Elmer's Glue-all. Alenes works good but I think a little too stiff for small lines. Elmer's is a little thinner. But STAY AWAY from Elmer's School Glue. It's cheap, but for good reason. It just doesn't stick well.

VinceM speaks truth about Elmer's School Glue, but like him, I get good results with Elmer's Glue-All.

And, no matter which brand it is, it tastes better than the stuff the p******c modelers use.

In addition to the white glue, I use thin KrazyGlue a lot....especially the one that comes in a bottle with a brush applicator. I use the thin CyA glue mainly to stiffen the paper parts that are used for railings, communications masts, etc. As others have mentioned, I have an extensive array of glue types on the modeling bench, but I keep grabbing the Aleene's about 95% of the time.

So I guess I'm the only one using paper rivets. I will have to try this "glue" that you all are talking about.

Can I suggest, if you try Aileens Tacky Glue, try the regular (gold bottle) first.

Then later on, give the Fast Grab and the Turbo or Quick Dry a try.

I've used them all...but I always end up back with the regular Gold bottle for various reasons.
Its also the cheapest.
Look for the taller "bonus" bottles.

Does anyone have observations regarding what glue will dry white, looking as if plastic?
