Problem with Display Mode

I have been visiting this Forum on-and-off for many years and extensively over the post few months. Did not even know that there were different display modes, since it always opened a thread in the Linear Mode.

Suddenly, over the past two weeks, it regularly opens in the Treaded Mode and then stays there no matter what I do. I have to leave it for some time, close and open the page or even log out and in again. Then, just when I think it is working nicely, it jumps to the Treaded Mode again if I try to move to the next page.

Is it just me, or is someone else experiecing the same "problem"

Any assistance will be appreciated.

Sepp

Have you checked your default settings?

Click: User CP > Settings & Options > Edit Options > scroll to Thread Display Mode > Chose default.

If you have done that already, I would suggest clearing cookies in the browser and log back in.

Actually, I had a thread last week that only appeared in that weird other threaded mode.
If I clicked on any other posts, they appeared normal.
Then I went back to that one post, and it displayed in the threaded style.
But only that one post/thread.
I can't remember what the thread was, otherwise I would check it now.

Dave,

That glitch is the forum trying to interpret the word print at the end of the title, and making it so it looks like a Printer optimized layout.

Best resolution to this, word the title of your thread where the word print isn't the last word in the tittle.

In a previous version of the Forum OS, we could actually go back in the thread, and fix the error, it seems at this current version, we can not do so.

Thank you very much the answers and the kind advise.

The stange, unasked for display happened over a period of about 3/4 days and influenced several threads. Two of these were:

One model per (non-working) day, and
Step by step , Stampe SV4 building , [DGA] , 1/72

It was especially the Stampe thread that refused to display in the linear mode.

Fortunately it seems that these problems have somehow been resolved as I had no problems over the past 2 days.

Thanks again

Sepp

Interesting. Thanks for the info Sepp.

The cause of the glitch could have been the commas in the title, much like if the work "Print" is in the title, the forum software could be translating the title different.

I changed the commas to hyphens, so hopefully it won't happen again.
