There is a bookmarklet thing called PageZipper you can put on your bookmarks toolbar that will sorta make all of the pages in a multi page thread into one long page. You can then choose to print. If you print to pdf it helps if you have something to edit the pdf so you can get rid of some of the uneeded items.

I have tried it on a couple of multi page threads. You have to go through each page in the print preview to make sure no extra pages from other threads are included. Sometimes there are blank pages so you need to print the entire result then delete the blank pages. It helps if you look at the last page of the thread and make sure you stop as close to the last page as you can.
It is kind of hard to explain all of the pitfalls you might encounter. Give it a try and see if it is adequate for your purpose.

That would be handy to combine pages.
I've never tried to print a forum thread before.
But I know when I print a webpage, you often get a lot more printing than you bargained for! lol

Golpher...Are we talking about saving "tutorial" type threads?
Like from here.
Or just any old webpage...especially text dominated webpages?

Printing is a good option to "save" a webpage
...but printing is still only going to give you the thumbnail images.
I would think you still want to see the posted images in these "tutorial" type threads.
The full size images....right?

If they are not posted directly into the threads, then your printed or pdf version will only show small thumbnails.

Dave thanks for that fix for Chrome. Before the add-on was installed the photobucket message was all that was shown. After the add-on was installed the pictures were all there on Bomarcs thread.

To answer your question, I am interested in capturing the tutorial types of threads as seen on this site and others where I am a member. Most especially any included pictures. I've been told a picture is worth 1000 words and I believe it.

You guys are terrific. Thank you for taking time to respond to my query.

Paul

I know nothing of this problem.
But then again, I don't link facebook images.

I can see how facebook might constantly move data onto new servers, backup servers, larger servers...

Everything you posted on facebook from the beginning of your subscription is still there.
If they moved your stuff, they would need to have something in place that automatically updates the image links.
A simple redirect would work, but externally linked images would get redirected too.
I don't know how they could constantly move stuff and not cause broken links.

I'm going to test this...I will linkpost an image on my forum (from my facebook).
One new and one older image.
Then I can check back later and see what happens.
