Visitor messages

I am unclear on how I can moderate my visitor messages. I see there is a button to delete a message, but first I must select the message. How is that done?

Are there little boxes you can check to the right of the date by each message? (I'm asking because there is for me but I don't know if that's typical or because of my moderator / admin abilities).

Ok - so you check the little box for whichever message you want to delete, then select 'delete messages' from the pulldown menu then press 'go'

On the topic of deleting visitor messages ...

A fellow poster left some friendly messages on my profile. After reading them, I naturally thought I should delete them, just as I would a PM or email. After I deleted them, my profile was left with:

Showing Visitor Messages 1 to 3 of 3
----------------------------------------------------------------
<sender's name>
This message has been deleted by Art Deco.
----------------------------------------------------------------
<sender's name>
This message has been deleted by Art Deco.
----------------------------------------------------------------
<sender's name>

----------------------------------------------------------------

What is the purpose of these "message deleted" announcements? Anyone know if there is there a way I can get rid of them? There are no "check boxes" next to them.

I don't know about the messages, but what does it mean by referrals? It says I have one, but I don't have a clue as to what it is?

When somebody new signs up, they can put a referral of whom told them about the forum. So somebody gave you credit for referring them here

AD,

When I go to your profile, I see check boxes, but that might be because I am an admin, if you want, I can delete them for you.

Rick

Rick,

I just double-checked and ... no check boxes. I also tried "Select All", that didn't work either. So, if you would please delete them, I would be much obliged.

Thanks!
