Question Private messages and downloading

Not sure this belongs here, but nothing else seems to be working.

I seem to be having trouble sending messages.
I can type it up, and click "send", but it doesn't show in the sent messages folder, and no one responds.
(I also still can't download any files)
Any ideas?

Same thing happens to me. I keep sending messages to legal01 and never hear from him. I don't think the messages go anywhere. Although I can download things. You have to make a specific amount of posts before you can download stuff here. There's a New Member section that explains all that. jump in a thread and voice your opinion or ask a question and those will count towards your post count. You don't need to start a new thread.

I thought I had the same problem but then realized that I hadnīt chosen "Save a copy of sent messages in my Sent Items folder by default" in the Messaging&Notifications options.

I did and since then I can see all sent messages - which does not automatically lead to an answer of the recipient of the message but I donīt have to doubt myself wether I sent one

The fact you get no response does not mean to say the mail system is not working.

Remember, the mail system is not quite the same as e-mail, and most people only look when they log on.

There is also a limit on the number of mails in a box - and it will not "deliver" until the box is freed up some more.

---------------------------------------------------------------

Each of you can send me a PM if you want and I will respond so you can see it is working.

Yankeekilo, I see you have been on since my post above, but have seen no PM from you. Have you sent one?

I agree with Kevin: There may be several reasons you get no answer. There were mentioned legal01 and Bond who were addressed - Both werenīt active in the forum for several month so they never read the messages they recieved?
