I had to reinstall the software, so no hope :(. However the rebuild is underway and proceeding smoothly.

There is still plenty of hope.... so long as you have not tossed the drive, formatted it or degaussed it.... If you have a new primary drive you can plug this one in as a secondary drive and try some drive recovery apps on it to pull usable data off....

Work is continuing well so far, about 50% complete. The upside is that I can improve on things I didn't bother to fix on the previous version. I found that the engine I designed previously was slightly off. I am working on a solution right now.

Thanks for all the sympathy, by the way, it's really my own stupid fault for not backing up all my files regularly. Not a problem now.
