I think that looks fine. The decking looks great, too. I would make only one comment. Where the anchor chain come through the side of the ship.... as the chain rubs going into the ship paint will be chipped/rubbed off leaving bare metal and rust (not just a solid gray ring around the hole).
Other than that, I think you have done an amazing job with this. The weathering effect on the side and deck look great. Jeff |

Looks good so far. Some model builders might like to have a non-weathered version, but I think the weathering you have applied looks realistic.

Let's remember this was an IJN ship during peacetime, and would not be rusty. Maybe during wartime...
