L-5 ambulance version available

For those of you having trouble with "fiddly" bits, this first release is in 1/48 scale.

Check www.lbirds.com/store.htm for the kit.

It is in the markings of a USAAF bird in the Philippines.

$6.50 may seem a bit high, but Roman and I've put a lot of work into the kit, and I'd like to be able to sponsor several more kits. Any money coming into this project is going to further the project...

I'll be happy to do my part by buying the model. I am nearing the finish line on my 1/72 L-5, having learned a lot in the process, and hope to post the results before the long weekend is over.

Now, where can we get a 1/48 model of the WC9 ambulance?

Ok guys, here's a picture of the almost completed Ambulance Version model - I just noticed that I forgot to add the exhausts however - wonder where they dropped. Will try to get that done next week.

Also, there's a new article up about another Liaison Pilot at: http://www.lbirds.com/pilots.htm

Enjoy!
Ryan

I'm working on mine. It's going together well (I learned a lot trying to build the little one). Things have been busy here with writing and teaching work, but I hope to finish up next week. The older grandson will be staying with Lil and me for a week and I expect we will encourage each other's paper model projects.

Nice to hear you got that one figured out, Don, (I didn't realize it was such a small scale). My own project is done now, and in the "Large" size I think is close to 1/33, but of course can be made much smaller.
