Good afternoon, Kevin!
The destroyer ORP Garland was one of the pre-WW-II-series G, having been handed over to the Polish Navy in Exile by the RN from 1940 until Sept. 1946. The ORP Slazak (II) was the Hunt-II-class escort destroyer HMS Bedale (L 65), leased to the Polish Exile Navy in 1942 and returned after the war, put in reserve by the RN and in 1952 sold to the Indian Navy as Godavari (D 92), where she was destroyed by a storm in 1979. The Korab II was a fishing vessel (drifter oder logger) built for Poland in 1937 by the german shipyard of J. L. Meyer at Papenburg/Ems, 1939 stationed for fishing in the Netherlands and, having escaped with Polish expatriates to England in 1940, was put into service by the RN as an armed drifter and auxiliary picket ship. Scale of these models is 1/400. Kind regards Papercaptain Last edited by Papercaptain; 05-02-2016 at 10:00 AM. Reason: additional info |
