Just wait Chris... I went through Ercoupe.net site and found more interesting ones...
I think you ought to send an email to the "owners" clubs of some of these aircraft. I bet there would be some purchases from owners. Some of the better paint schemes (In my opinion, of course). N93735 sn 1058 N94804 N99325 1946* N99933* s/n 2556 C-FGFU sn 4904 Photo Page132 N6363V N3152H 3777 Ryan

Great word of mouth advertising too Thanks! Wll look into that after a few more variants are up! Assuming the model proves popular enough to warrant his time to repaint.... hint hint

[QUOTE=cgutzmer;263797]oooohhhh -
military livery! Photos: Erco 415C Ercoupe Aircraft Pictures | Airliners.net Completely bogus paint scheme. No preWWII AAC aircraft wore that kind of camoscheme...looks cute, though. Now, an OD upper and Neut Grey lower would be more like it.

Firstly - I agree about the civvies in bogus camo schemes - there are plenty of legitimate schemes that can be done.
Secondly - in the late 1930's the Army tested a dozen or more (sometimes bizarre) schemes, one of which was very similar to that shown on the ersatz military Ercoupe. The Cleveland Air Races of 1939 saw several P-36s in some of those schemes and they were also seen on P-26s, P-35s and P-36s in various war games in the 1935-1939 period. If you want goofy schemes - do one of those aircraft and leave the classic civilian aircraft in their classic colors.

I dont disagree Ryan. I cant say for certain the market agrees though. I am hoping that this particular high quality model proves that civlian will sell as well as military. They quality is certainly there...
On a side note a cockpit would really boost interest too Chris

I just learned something new - the Army purchased three Model 415C Ercoupes, one as the YO-55 and the other two as XPQ-13. At least one was used in testing the rocket-assisted take-off technique! None of the extant photos show them in camo, however. LOL
