Two more 1/33 Tuskegee Airmen P-51Ds from AirDave
okay, two more kits to add to the P-51D collection...
and two more great Tuskegee aircraft! And two very notable Tuskegee Airmen this time: "Duchess Arlene" was flown by Robert W Williams. http://i1125.photobucket.com/albums/...delArtwork.jpg Williams was one of the Pilot's responsible for shooting down German Jet Fighters (Me262) and had two FW190 credits of his own. Its also interesting to note that Williams wrote the original screenplay for the 1995 Tuskegee Airmen movie. http://i1125.photobucket.com/albums/...rlenecover.jpg and then we have... "Little Freddie" as flown by Freddie Hutchins of the 302nd. http://i1125.photobucket.com/albums/...delArtwork.jpg This was his fourth aircraft, all named "Little Freddie". Unfortunately this aircraft was lost in a crash, but Hutchins survived and went on to serve in the Korean and VietNam conflicts earning a number of awards including the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Air Medal and a Purple Heart. http://i1125.photobucket.com/albums/...eddiecover.jpg get 'em both at ecardmodels! 1/33 Duchess Arlene P51D 1/33 Little Freddie P51D |
