I would love to see some pics!

What if the jet happened to be made of plastic?

I purchased this kit last week, hoping to use it as a display base for some finished plastic jets I have in the pipeline.

I may end up building a paper jet to display on it one day, but for now it will be for photographing finished plastic kits, along with some other carrier deck printable bases I found.

Got any more info on that Tomcat kit you mentioned above, is it still available? I'm tempted to try the Halinski Tomcat if I can find it reasonably priced.

actually, I got the idea to create some paper diorama bases for plastic kits.
That was my original idea.

This is what I did...first...but I never really got around to doing any more.
There was talk of more carrier decks...like older wooden decks.
And the launch rails for Spotter aircraft was talked about.

Anyway, I didn't intend this to be for plastic or paper.
In fact, it was meant to be a stand alone model...that could also be used as a display base for an aircraft.

By all means, if works for you to display a plastic model, please share some pics!

I thought maybe there was a market for it at the time.

Having recently returned to building plastic kits and joining a few online groups, I'd say there still is a market for it.

I'll be posting pics in some plastic groups as well so I'll be sure to point people to your site when they ask about the base.
