Beautiful! Got mine (along with "Shanghai Lil" -- my wife, Lil, thought it was a good idea).
Back in the 50s, when the Maryland Air National Guard was still flying Texans and Mustangs, my neighbor, a civilian mechanic with the Air Guard, used to take me along with him to Harbor Field in Baltimore, where I would hang out all day looking at airplanes and occasionally sitting in the cockpit of one of the AT-6s. I still think the Texan is one of the nicest-looking airplanes ever built. Don |

To be honest, I find it to be an ugly plane...but I know its a favorite with many
so my opinion really doesn't count. I do however acknowledge its one of those planes that has been around for a very long time, its still flown today, its service to many many countries puts it on the most important aircraft list and it has been used to train a s**tload of aviators!

Just got hired today (And they said it couldn't be done!) at APAC, one of our local call centers, so hopefully I'll be able to get this soon! Go a long ways for never getting my hands on the old GELI one!

I see so many models I want, then I see so many models I really want, bad. Then I start seeing model I have to have and my list grows and grows. This is a real fun model to fly in IL-2 where I live for two hours each night with other squad mates. This model just might get moved up a few notches. Time will tell. I think this and C-47 are plane but killer models. But that's just me. A real killer dave. Thanks. wc

I used the same new "skin" I created for my D Mustangs. I think its the best skin I have done so far. It has a nice metallic look when printed. (At least it does on my printer. Obviously I can't guaranty it works exactly the same on every system. But thats why I suggest a test print page, and then go into your printer options if necessary.)

[Duplicate Post] Updates and Modifications
The tweaking and fiddling never ends! I am constantly looking to tweak parts, streamline the fit, or just improve the models in general. This is a pain sometimes...since it means constantly updating older versions of models. (sorry ecardmodels staff) Thats why at a certain point I drift away from a model design and don't do anymore...because it might mean updating way too many models! lol Anyway, I am just finishing up my test build of the Golden Hawk (Bud Granley's) Texan and I keep tweaking things...I can't stop!!! And I keep running back to my computer and applying those tweaks to the model ...and then applying them to my other Texan kits (released and unreleased). Luckily only two Texan kits have been released so far (the X-151 and N7095C) so there isn't too much to update. (All modifications will obviously apply to all subsequent models) Heres some of the tweaks: -minor adjustments to the Exhaust location and heat shield. -reduce the Exhaust pipe size -minor adjustment to the Gear Doors and updated the instruction pages. -added the "roll cage" to the cockpit. -minor shape adjustments to the wing root fairings to improve the fit. Some fairly minor stuff I know...but it all goes toward trying to offer the best model I can. So, I am sending up two updated kits to ecardmodels...and if you bought the X-151 or the newly available N7095C just log back in to your ecardmodels account and grab the modified versions. Thanks
