Neat trick with the tissue paper for wing skins.

The wing spars are mighty thin. I think a small diameter carbon rod inserted in the middle of the spars would greatly increase the model's lifespan. I will give this a go when I get home in a few days.

There fairly sturdy when assembled. The spars are dual layered 80lb stock. the ribs are the same. after assembling I tacked them in with thin CA and it soaks in and makes a stiff joint. it recently took a fall from the ceiling and all it did was knock 2 stacks off.

It's also designed to get a lot of strength from the rigging.

Just downloaded the Halloween freebie. It looks great. Looks like a challenge, but certainly cool looking once done.
THANK YOU for this kit!!!!!

According to the web, the length of a casket or coffin is 84 inches, and Murph's flying coffin
measures 6 inches long, so the scale is 1/14. I have almost finished it and will show it before
Halloween.

I didn't use actual coffin plans, I just eyeballed it.

Here's my take on the D3AD. I think my printer got a little creative in print size since some of the parts don't quite line up. I left it as is, since I'm on the road and can't print out new parts. Also, it makes the model look more organic than mechanical. I only used 4 exhaust stacks so the engine doesn't look so busy. Carbon fiber rods reinforce the landing gear and wing spars. I printed two body sheets and used one to line the interior of the other. The tail skins are from the parts sheets, printed on normal bond paper. I only glued the leading edges of the tail skins so they appear more ragged.
