Those are the "A" model Firebees with the intake in the nose instead of a chintake.

Ah, yes. Maybe a simple revision after I download the kit? And then, can even do a mixed markings build .

And how about?
And then, can even do an open cockpit version .

I don't think there's enough money or alcohol to get somebody to fly one of those.

No worries,I'm sure this is just a surplus Firebee used as prop for kids pictures.
I looked into Model A from tech pov and it looks like it was a far bit smaller from later models.Smaller engine used too.Note that some pictures of them show semi-transparent,unpainted fiberglass containers on wingtips and vertical stabiliser.Extra gas tanks or additional flotation devices?Maybe both.It also had a lot smaller electronics compartment (access panels under fuselage, between horizontal stabilisers and wings). Ryan must have redesigned about 75% of airframe to house larger engine and allow for increased payload. |

New model time! The long-awaited Grumman OV-1 Mohawk is finally ready for takeoff.
Don't mind the second model, I left the engines off to show off fuselage details. 2 versions right now, but I'm actively working on more, so that will change quickly. Get them here: https://murphs-models.webs.com/grumman-ov-1-mohawk |
