The top icon picture on your Twin Otter page is a Playboy version, isn't it?
Are you doing an extra, the Playboy? |

Quote:
I interviewed the pilots for a NASA Magazine article in the early 90s. Since the aircraft was being deliberately flown into icing conditions, there was always a possibility a buildup of ice could cause the pilots to lose control. They both wore parachutes...but they couldn't just open the doors and bail out, because there was a good chance they'd get chopped up by the props. NASA's answer was to rig a long *rope* running from the cockpit back to the rear hatch. One of the pilots said the first time they saw this jerry-rigged system, they tried to imagine pulling themselves along the rope as the aircraft spun out of control and realized it was "just eyewash." No way they were getting out alive. So as they taxied out on a mission, one pilot said to the other, "Just remember, if you get us both killed, I am NEVER gonna forgive you!" Otters for the Easter season, meet the brothers four. The original scale is 1/41, mind you. You have to make room for them to stay or hang.

My growing RCAF Fleet has a new addition, a B-25 in Training Command markings.

All this (very welcome) Canuckery wouldn't reflect the benign influence of Yukon John and Karol B, would it?

It might, though I do like the paint schemes of the Royal Canuck Air Force.

So do I,that's why I build them.
They are relatively simple yet eye catching and on some planes turns out very elegant. My former GF stated that first RCAF schemes on DH Comet and B707s act like eye liners and make them look really classy. |

Never thought of looking at it like eye liner, but may have to get back to modifying the 707 to a Husky. The thought has me excited .
