It took longer to design the model than the real thing was in service, but the Pibber is now available.

More new releases today. The Dehavilland Don Trainer is finally out, and 2 English Electric Lightnings are charging our way. I've been working on a series of P/F-51H repaints, and they'll be trickling out this week as I get them built. I'll return after work to post pics and links.

Good models, Murph!

I got the Don Trainer and the PBR. Plan to wait until the other P/F-51Hs come out and get them all as a bundle.

The Don Trainer in yellow looks good. I really must get on with my build of the prototype. Am grappling with the landing gear housings. Fourth time might be the charm. Ordered some Bounty bars to sustain me in the build.

I like the PBR. There was a PBR outfit based near our compound (an old French colonial mansion that housed the Vinh Binh Province advisor team and the 14th ARVN regimental advisors) in Tra Vinh (Vinh Binh City) on the Bassac (Hau) River in the Mekong Delta. I think it was a detachment of either River Division 51 headquartered at Cần Thơ or River Division 52 headquartered at Sa Đéc. On occasion, I saw the boats heading out or returning from missions or would pass them when we were traveling via LCM. In the spring of 1967, the actor Henry Fonda, who had played USN Lieutenant Roberts in the play and film Mr. Roberts went out on one of the boats on a night mission. I don't think they had any contact that night, but it certainly endeared Fonda to the PBR crews.

It's time to release the wild horses.

Six P-51H Mustangs are out in the corral waiting for a rider (Ok, I'm done with the horse references)

Maryland ANG? If so, much thanks.

You have at least one guaranteed sale of the bundle.

I realized that being issued to the states National Guard units, I could end up with dozens of models. I might even open it up to a repaint contest.

I'm gonna wait on releasing the Wellesley until the African Theater version comes back, but I won't leave you hanging.

This next model hits most of the categories. All of them if you interpret the last one loosely.

Which one? A Failed Prototype Allied Assault Glider Seaplane from WWII, who's purpose it was designed for was taken over by Helicopters much later.

The Allied Aviation XLRA-1 Seaplane Glider is now available:
Murph's Models newest releases-img_20201212_165325.jpg

Since it was intended to be towed by such aircraft as the J2F Duck, and PBY-5 Catalina, I designed the model to the scale of my Catalina model.
