oh, I agree Curt...and I have been making plastic canopies for my own display models.

But in this case, the model needs to illustrate what you get in the basic kit
(and it will probably go to the hobby store as a build example).

When I take aircraft to a model show, I try to take ones with paper canopies.
Again, its all about showing what you can build straight out of the package without any modifications.

But you are right...its nice to see a clear canopy, especially at this scale.

It's still a beautiful model any way that you look at it Dave.

I don't know whether I'd call it dedication...
the mind is willing, but the body ain't no more! LOL

This is not a new model...I released this one more than 3 years back.
And of course, theres nothing new that hadn't already been in place on these Mustangs.

But I do like to research and put the right things in the right places.
I do enjoy finding old photos and verifying the correct markings and paintwork.
Its fun to learn about the planes and pilots and wartime history.

You can actually see I made a small mistake on this one.
I fitted it with the new windscreen part.
I redesigned it to be an inset part, which results in a smoother cowling and smoother transition.
Unfortunately I didn't adjust the cowling paint to match the width of the windscreen.
A bit off, but you probably didn't notice until I told you!

I'll go fix that right now.
