1/24 BMW 3.0csl Hans Stuck Race Car
Just added another 1/24 BMW race car...
an old request, that I am finally getting around to completing. I can't even remember by who or when I was asked to do this. But it seemed like a very good at the time. lol The legendary Hans Stuck...Formula One driver...three time winner at LeMans. winner of many Touring Car races and championships. This works BMW 3.0csl from 1974...known as a "batmobile"...is an iconic car and an iconic image in motor sports photography. Dave,
this is another beautiful model of a historic race car you made. Thank you for it! Will you give us also a white 3.0 csl driven as driven e.g. by Chris Amon? The car always had an air of extreme lightness and sleekness about it which is enhanced by a light colour. I donīt normally like BMW cars, because their drivers can be a pain in the neck on the german "autobahn", but their race cars were beautiful. Cheers, Martin

The 3.0csl was definitely "sleeker" and smoother than the earlier bodies
(like the 2002 that this model was originally based on). For the pure fan of the 3.0csl, I ackowledge my model is not super accurate. The body shape is very similar and so the model is a good rendition. I made as many changes as I could, but the base design is still the 2002. The paint scheme definitely helps to hide some of the styling differences. I appreciate your interest and kind words. I will take a look at the other (white)car and see if i can put it out aswell. No promises as to how soon.

Got a request to add the other BMW works team car...
so here is the contrasting White #12. At some point this car was driven by Hans Stuck's teammate Chris Amon, but I couldn't confirm this exact paint scheme/markings layout, so I left this the Driver name off the door. As the others, 1/24 scale with a Display base. Available now at www.papermodelshop.com and at ecardmodels: 1/24 works BMW 3.0 CSL Race Car #12 (1974) Paper Model [Thanks to Martin for the test build!]
