Thanks Guys :D I'm glad you like it. Indeed it was Dansls1 that was the tester. I found the thread here,

Roland C.II 'Walfisch' Beta

One building hint that is pretty important. The cockpit section is the hardest thing on the entire model. Once you get past that it's a cake walk. Now the most important thing I don't believe i noted it on the parts sheet is the wing holes (the top wing in particular) should be cut out after the body is formed. I ahve built this one 3 times and did it that way successfully each time. I had not attempted the method Dansls1 tried. It's not that scarry. You just need a fresh blade when you go at it. It's a common practice for Fiddler's Green models.

Hey Janx you finally popped your head in here :P This was the 1st project we worked on together, so you regreting it yet??? :P That fish one did take you quite a while

G1

Yes, I was slow and decided that building a 'white' model wasn't interesting when the colored version was going to be published very soon, or possibly before I finished. It's still in the stack to build - there's a lot in the stack though

Help finding download

Hi!

I have now seen so many great reviews of Getter's Roland C.II model, but I cannot find it anywhere. I have checked all the places that seemingly used to host it (kartonbau.de, zealot.com and thedimensionofnothing.com), but all links are dead.

Could someone please point me to a live link - or share the file with me directly?

Many thanks in advance!

Cheers,

Martin

Both Janx and Getter1 are active members of this forum. Try send a PM to either or both of them. One of them should be able to hook you up.

Hi Janx,

Thanks for the offer. Getter 1 has sent me the files privately (thanks again!). Between the two of you, you have done an amazing job creating and colouring this beautiful bird.

I have done my scale-down print to 1/144 and hope to start my amateurish build this weekend. I'll start a mini build thread for it.

Cheers,

Martin

P.S.: I do apologize for "necro-posting" in this thread. I had not realized that posting into an old thread is considered bad form. You live - you learn.
