Scalescenes - New Stone Warehouse or Mill

Scalescenes have been doing well with their new releases recently.

Here is their new Stone Warehouse or Mill.

It is a building full of character and is well suited for an industrial or country building, depending on the location. Very reasonably priced!

Features of the kit:
  • It is flexible enough to be configured or representative of a mill, factory or warehouse.
  • Scalescenes do an Industrial Chimney and combined with this an industrial appearance is easily achieved. See here (http://www.papermodelers.com/forum/600687-post1.html) for details of the Industrial Chimney.
  • There is rich interior detail, so it will benefit from the doors being displayed open.
  • It comes with a selection of door colours and signs.
  • It can be ordered in one of three choices of brickwork.
  • There are optional heights and positions for the doors along the walls.
  • Available in O (1/76) or N (1/148) scales.

Don, their buildings are nice.

The construction is a little different from the run of the mill kits in that they use card laminate (which you make yourself by gluing the kit parts to card) for the parts.

This gives them a totally different "feel", but it certainly enables very realistic construction and depth. You will see this very clearly if you look at the pictures of the castle I have posted in a later thread.

They also have great interiors where applicable - walls and floors - and there are kits for furnishings etc if you want.

To me one of the best things are the realistic proportions and the ultra realistic (but not over done) weathering.
