By that time, Connery was just going through the motions*.
I didn't think much of that particular one,
and the Gyro scenes weren't impressive.
But I really loved the Movie Poster for that one.
One of my favorite 007 posters.

*Just look at his expression.
Gives you the impression its a comedy, not an action film!

As a teen growing up in the L.A. area and travelling around by bus daily, I often passed this amazing vehicle in a storage yard off the Hollywood freeway.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Landmaster
I remember I once made my way to the yard and remember seeing other amazing movie and TV vehicles, but I not sure which I actually saw and which are just my imagination now.

Cheers,

John Gay

Bullitt is not my favorite movie but that Mustang is a nice looking ride.

It came to mind the other day when leaving a parking garage. The central ramp leading to the exit had a series of flats and drops that reminded me of San Francisco and Bullitt. I always wondered how many idiots tried to reenact that chase scene.

What about the VW Beetle in the Bullitt chase scene ? It manages to appear more than once in different scene locations.

I agree, its most likely the same vehicle in multiple locations...
but lets face it...its a plausible scenario.
A VW Bug, in San Francisco, in the sixties?
I guaranty one on every block! lol

a lot of those scenes were the same scene from different camera angles. That's why it is there so often. It was there once, but picked up by several cameras

You did say "land, sea or air"...so I'm sticking with land for the moment...

Obviously I have a big interest in Movie and TV vehicles,
and I could keep this list going...
but as far as Movie and TV "Cars"
....I have to put The Munsters cars at the top for style, originality and overall koolness.

But I really fell in love with the Dodge M4S.
Sometimes known as the Turbo Interceptor.
Otherwise known to movie fans as The Wraith alien car.

Originally a Dodge concept vehicle,
and one of the precursors to the pathetic Dodge Daytona Turbo,
the Interceptor was also an Indy Pace Car and part of the PPG display team.

I saw the PPG team at the inaugural Toronto Indy car race in 1986
...they had about 6 or 8 custom cars, with amazing bodywork and wild paint jobs.
I took some photos, but I remember I couldn't get a clear view of many of the cars.
and I don't seem to have a pic of the Interceptor.

And I had no idea at that time what I was looking at.

The Interceptor is now on display at the Chrysler Museum in Michigan.
The Top 10 Most Interesting Vehicles at the Walter P. Chrysler Museum

And to prove it earned its status as a legend long before the Wraith movie: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zJNbQUMGeBA

CMDRTED, A 1/100 scale “A Bit O’Lace”? I’d love to see a photo of that!

I’d also like to do the B-17B from “Air Force”. And speaking of Bond films, it would be neat to do the B-17 used at the end of “Thunderball”.
