Michael,

I did a lot of Google searches for US Navy ship camouflage. These are the only two sites I saved the URL's for:

Dazzle

https://maritime.org/doc/camo/index.html

I am attaching one of them as an example.

Thanks. Wikipedia has a pretty comprehensive list but not too many pictures:

Michael,

Some books that might be helpful:
- “US Navy Ships Camouflage WWII: Destroyers and Destroyer Escorts”, Squadron Shop, 2008; this is the reference I use most often; very well illustrated and explained
- “United States Navy Warship Camouflage 1939-1945”, Pique Publications, 1975; a small booklet of limited use, though the explanations fill in some gaps.
- “The Painter’s Guide to World War Two Naval Camouflage”, Clash of Arms Publishers, 1996; covers all the major combatants’ navies, but has limited number of illustrations.
- “United States Navy Camouflage of the WW2Era”, The Floating Drydock,1976;a good overall explanation of camo for all classes of ships, with some good sketches similar to the official ones, but re-done and much clearer.
