[N] WAK - PWS-17M2 and Gokstadskipet

New WAK models are available.



Model of the Polish Air Force experimental night fighter (never built - there was only a technical drawing - 1932). Designer: Lech Kołodziejski (LWS-6 Zubr, PWS-10, RWD-25 and many others planes).



Model of Viking snekkar found in a burial mound of Olaf Geirstadalv at Gokstad (Norway) in 1880. Ship was built around 850 AD. Currently the ship is displayed in the Viking Ship Museum in Oslo. Medium size model, but requires a some time to build. Model has English and Norwegian instruction inside. Designer: Tomasz Weremko (Badger, Grosse Jacht, Muleta and many others sail ships).

So what is the length & beam of a 1/72 Viking ship in inches or even those funny things you metric guys use?

Here is the original scratch build report from Seahorse, and his original scale of 1:75

Gokstad Ship (scratch, 1:75)

and somewhere in there i do believe the dimensions of the scratch build is mentioned

Hull lenght (in funny inches) 12 5/8.
I do not know if it's a good or not good model for the first sailing ship. You have to start with something, and this one has at least simple rigging.
