This kit is awaiting supplemental, historic text, other than that it's complete, now moving on to the Hassalo... (same scale 1/150)

The Hassalo being the second of the series, the, "R.R.Thompson" will be the third, all of these ships were built on and plied the middle river.

The middle river was an isolated stretch as far as marine transport goes, the Columbia was divided naturally into three segments, the lower river from the sea to the impassable cascade rapids near Cascade Locks Oregon, the middle river above the rapids up steam 40 (+/-) miles to the impassable celilo falls near the Dalles Oregon.

The, "upper river" ran from the falls, to the, "inland empire" of eastern Washington and Idaho.

The upstream route carried cargo and passengers whereas the downstream route carried primarily gold.

The ships that plied this 40 mile stretch were all designed, built on and for that 40 mile stretch, it was the critical link between the lower and upper river, this should be an interesting series to do.
