Okay, I scaled the plans of the Hassalo, they clearly state that the ship is 160 ft. long, however, when scaled to this length the doors were only 5.5 ft. tall the walls 6 ft. tall and the railing was only 1.5 ft tall.
This was obviously an incorrect scale so I enlarged it where ONLY the hull measured 160 ft, this was much more accurate. So, if this is the case the ship was 160 ft, long with an additional 19.5 ft. wheel deck for a total of 179.5 feet, the plans list 1/4 inch to the foot but there is no scale.

If 1 inch = 4 feet = 48 inches ... wouldn't it be 1/48?

The plans would be drawn at 1/48th but there is no scale to measure, it simply states that the ship is 160 ft but when scaled to that length, the verticals are all WAY short for that to be accurate, maybe I'll scour those drawings for some kind of scale.

Needless to say, I've located the problem scaling the Hassalo plans and it was, "human error" on my part!, with Marji's passing, I currently have higher priorities right now than drawing so the Hassalo will have to wait.
Currently waiting for the eight pages of the R.R. Thompson plans to be reproduced.

I received the R.R. Thompson plans, now awaiting the plans for the "BAILEY GATZERT", while not part of the middle river series, it will be a, "stand alone" model.

Oregon Historical Society
Sad to say, with the rioting in Portland Oregon, the Oregon Historical Society was heavily vandalized, they broke out all of the windows in the front of the museum and toppled statues of Roosevelt and Lincoln, they took a quilt that was sewn by local, African American women, each panel depicted a famous African American, the Quilt was recovered in the streets two blocks away, $30,000 dollars worth of damages was done to the Roosevelt statue, $20,000 to the statue of Lincoln. public outpouring and member donations will, "right the ship" and repair the damages.

A rather different kind of wow.
So glad the quilt was recovered.

That is so sad. And did it do anything other than create ill will?
That quilt reminds me of the ugliest quilt I ever saw. My step grandmother's grandmother made it after the Civil War. Blue blocks and Gray blocks with red strips in between and small yellow gold squares where the red strips would join. Made of uniforms from each side with the names of those who donated their uniforms for the quilt. It was sold for a paltry $225. If I had only known I am assuming that was a Teddy Roosevelt statue, not FDR
