I call them, "space-fillers" or, "after-thoughts" they are barely visible when the second deck goes on...

2nd deck
Got the second deck on and trimmed as with the first deck and it has what many experienced modelers would appreciate, FINGER ACCESS HOLES! (sometimes you just have to get your fingers in there)

Passengers
The core of the second deck super structure is done, note that the forward, gent's smoking salon was once elliptical such as with the rear, ladies salon, cabins were in the middle between the two salons.
Note that the sides of the forward salon had to be, "bumped out" to accommodate the new, twin stacks, the two cylinders are to support the stacks that are to be mounted above. All of the corners are rounded so I used a # 0 knitting needle to form them. Next I have to do the two outboard structures and add the railings.

second deck
The two, out board structures are comprised of two parts to be joined, I had to segment this part to fit the page, there was no good place to join it.
As with the rest, the internal partitions are placed first, these fit the notches of the sides and makes it easy to center the part.

Second deck complete
This is what it looks like with the second deck complete with the railings, again, not too concerned with the upper edges because the roof will straighten all of that out.
Roof, transom and pilot house are next, then I can add the wheel housings.

Roof
The second deck roof goes on and there is a trim strip as with the first and second decks.
Once the roof was on I added all of the internal partitions and the transom it's self. With the transom roof on I then placed the pilothouse. This thing is almost done, just have to add the wheel housings, stacks and stanchions, wheels and rudder. Again I would iterate, I'm much better at drawing these things than I am at assembling them, if someone with time, patience and skill were to actually color the edges, this would be a much better model, all of the critical components are there. I just don't have the time, patience or skill.

This is a better shot, showing the all of the transom windows.

Thanks Kevin, just about have this one rapped up... I've already inquired about reproducing the Hassalo plans.

Wheel housings
This is what it looks like with the wheel housings in place, put an X-acto knife in the photo for scale.
